Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) announced N7660B Signal Studio for multi-emitter scenario generation (MESG). The software provides aerospace/defense engineers with performance-optimized, Keysight-validated multi-emitter signals that they can download to one or more Keysight N5193A UXG agile signal generators for effective testing of electronic countermeasures (ECM) systems.

Production tests on multiport DUTs such as frontend modules for smartphones are increasing in complexity. The R&S ZNrun software from Rohde & Schwarz is used during high-speed, high-volume production. It boosts speed and efficiency for measurements on multiport DUTs using network analyzers.

Anritsu Company introduces the MN25208A SmartCal two-port 8.5 GHz auto calibration unit for its ShockLine family of vector network analyzers (VNAs). A plug-and-play calibration unit, SmartCal automatically powers on via a USB connection and loads calibration coefficients from on-board memory, for faster setup and error-free calibrations.

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) introduced continuous simultaneous acquisition and readout (CSR) for its U5303A 12-bit PCIe digitizer. In addition, complete data recording software applications are available, such as digitizer streaming (application option CB0) and digital down-converter streaming (application option CB1).

Rohde & Schwarz has added new microwave frequency options to its R&S SMW200A high end vector signal generator to support development applications requiring complex multichannel scenarios up to 40 GHz. The instrument creates signals of the highest quality for radar and satellite applications as well as for future 5G technology development.

Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, introduced the TSG4100A series of signal generators. The TSG4100A is a vector signal generator (VSG) at the affordable price of a basic signal generator. UL (Underwriters Laboratories), Consumer Technology Division, a world leader in advancing safety science, has extended its agreements with Anritsu as the provider for Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) telecoms test equipment, becoming the first commercial independent LTE- Advanced 3 Carrier Aggregation conformance test facility in the world. UL currently operates one of the best equipped cellular mobile device conformance and certification laboratories in Europe at its centre of excellence in Basingstoke, UK.

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) announced frequency-extension upgrades for its standards-compliant MXE EMI receiver, enabling test labs to keep units current and extend instrument longevity. No other manufacturer allows users to upgrade frequency range after the initial purchase of a standalone electromagnetic interference (EMI) receiver.

Developers need large bandwidths to analyze wideband signals like those of the new IEEE 802.11ad WLAN standard, 5G next generation mobile communications signals, and radar chirp signals.
