The new test options for the R&S RTO2000 series oscilloscopes with a bandwidth of 6 GHz make these instruments ideal for testing fast communications interfaces. The new options support the 5 Gbit/s SuperSpeed USB and PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 interfaces. There is also a new solution for USB power delivery (USB-PD).

The new R&S RT-ZVC multichannel power probe, in combination with an R&S CMW radio communication tester, monitors the power consumption of chipsets, radio modules and mobile devices. It is the only solution available on the market that can correlate battery consumption data with RF signaling events. And it accomplishes this with a measurement resolution of 18 bits, making measurements in the nanoampere range possible.

The R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester now emulates WLAN networks in line with the IEEE 802.11ac standard. The established test platform thus supports all current cellular and non-cellular wireless standards. Just a single test instrument covers all tests required for components with multiple integrated wireless interfaces – including interoperability tests.

The R&S NRPM OTA power measurement solution is the first solution for measuring transmit power over the air interface for 5G and wireless gigabit components. The solution enables users working in development and production to calibrate the output power of the antenna on a DUT and to test the DUT's beamforming function.
