From the metric system of measures to the metric convention (years 1791-1799 – 1875)

The article tells about the first methods used to determine the meter and kilogram, and the first standards of length and weight, today they are known as «archive meter» and «archive kilogram». Reader will also learn about global events that occurred between the appearance of the metric system and the adoption of the Metre Convention, and had a significant impact on metrology in general.
