HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia open from 13-16 October 2010 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Wan Chai. These two world-class events feature more than 3,500 quality exhibitors, offering huge sourcing opportunities in electronics, components, assemblies, production, display technologies and photovoltaic technologies.

The world's biggest electronics event becomes even bigger this year, hosting a list of well-known brands including Alcatel, Coby, DAYS, DESAY, Fujikon, GERMAN POOL, GOODWAY, Haier, Honeywell, Hyundai IT, Lenco, Motorola, Philips, Pierre Cardin, Shinco, Skyworth, and more. There are also group pavilions representing Jiangmen and Putian on the Chinese mainland, as well as Korea and Taiwan.

The fair introduces a new Green Electronics Square where environmentally friendly electronic products are on display.

The exclusive Hall of Fame is dedicated to showcasing the top names in the world of electronics. It draws buyers seeking products with a strong sense of identity, backed up by excellence in design, in terms of both appearance and performance. Over 400 brands known for their emphasis on quality design and performance are participating in the Hall of Fame.

Jointly organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and MMI Pte Asia Ltd (MMI), electronicAsia is the international trade fair for components, assemblies, electronics production, display and photovoltaic technologies. This year, the fair has attracted first-time exhibitors from Ireland as well as group pavilions from the Chinese mainland, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

Among displayed products:
3D tile format – a new solution to improve 3D broadcasting (S.I.SV.EL. (Hong Kong) Ltd), Circuit board plotter (LPKF Laser & Electronics AG) and Solar power unit (Peter Parts Electronics (HK) Limited)

Exhibition zones include:

• World of Solar. This area showcases the latest developments in solar cells, photovoltaic modules and technologies.
• World of Display Technology. The zone presents the latest research, technical improvements and innovations in the popular areas of display technologies.
• Hong Kong Metal Parts and Components Pavilion. It turns the spotlight on the small-yet-vital components that bring the electronics world to life.
• Products and Technologies from Japan. Located at 5F-G20, Ota City Industrial Promotion Organization from Tokyo introduces several major companies under their group pavilion and brings in new technologies and sophisticated processing for the business.
