Rohde & Schwarz announced to offer the first validated IMS conformance test cases for 5G NR that can be used for certification testing according to PTCRB. This achievement paves the way for 5G IMS conformance testing. Back in 2008, Rohde & Schwarz accomplished the industry’s first validations of IMS test cases. Since then, the company has maintained its leading position in LTE conformance and operator acceptance testing, as well as in 5G IMS testing for operators.

In a strategically important announcement that could see the widespread international adoption of 5G Broadcast / Multicast, Rohde & Schwarz has announced two 5G Broadcast-enabled transmitters - the field-proven R&S®Tx9 & Tx9evo transmitter series. Rohde & Schwarz was awarded a contract by Italian shipbuilder Cantiere Navale Vittoria to supply line of sight (LOS) and beyond line of sight (BLOS) communications systems for the Guardia di Finanza’s offshore patrol vessels. Guardia di Finanza is the law enforcement arm of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Rohde & Schwarz successfully delivered the second external communications system for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) auxiliary oiler and replenishment ships (AOR). Under a contract with Navantia, Rohde & Schwarz provides line of sight and beyond line of sight communication capabilities for RAN’s HMAS Supply and HMAS Stalwart.

Rohde & Schwarz has added an unparalleled internal analysis bandwidth of up to 1 GHz to its R&S FSVA3000 mid-range signal and spectrum analyzer. The new R&S FSV3-B1000 hardware option is available for all models from 7.5 GHz to 44 GHz, while comparable solutions offer just 160 MHz analysis bandwidth.
