Manufacturers of state-of-the-art 5G devices wishing to test the whole frequency range possible, expect to do so with a single signal generator for both 5G NR FR1 and FR2 frequencies. The new R&S SMM100A vector signal generator meets this need, displaying excellent RF characteristics across the entire frequency range from 100 kHz to 44 GHz.

The new R&S NRP67S and R&S NRP67SN power sensors introduce a frequency range unprecedented in a diode power sensor, reaching from 50 MHz all the way up to 67 GHz. Combined with the advantages of the unique Rohde & Schwarz three-path diode technology, a wide dynamic range from -70 dBm to 20 dBm, and a high measurement speed of 10,000 measurements per second, users benefit from extremely fast power measurements with unsurpassed accuracy and dynamic range previously not possible at these frequencies.

Rohde & Schwarz announced to offer the first validated IMS conformance test cases for 5G NR that can be used for certification testing according to PTCRB. This achievement paves the way for 5G IMS conformance testing. Back in 2008, Rohde & Schwarz accomplished the industry’s first validations of IMS test cases. Since then, the company has maintained its leading position in LTE conformance and operator acceptance testing, as well as in 5G IMS testing for operators.

In a strategically important announcement that could see the widespread international adoption of 5G Broadcast / Multicast, Rohde & Schwarz has announced two 5G Broadcast-enabled transmitters - the field-proven R&S®Tx9 & Tx9evo transmitter series. The new R&S FSV3-B1000 hardware option is available for all models from 7.5 GHz to 44 GHz, while comparable solutions offer just 160 MHz analysis bandwidth.
