Anritsu Company introduces the IQ Fiber Master™ MT2780A multi-port CPRI-based RF and PIM analyzer that is the first instrument to perform true PIM analysis over fiber and present RF spectrum results derived from IQ data. The MT2780A reduces test costs and time by providing field engineers, field technicians, and third-party contractors with a single instrument to conduct RF interference measurements and PIM troubleshooting on LTE-based systems using CPRI front haul infrastructure.

Tektronix, Inc. announced the new 2601B-PULSE System SourceMeter® 10μs Pulser/SMU Instrument, integrating a high-speed current pulser with DC source and measurement functions in one instrument. The new system incorporates PulseMeter™ technology for sourcing current pulses as short as 10μsec at 10A and 10V without the need to manually tune the output to match device impedance up to 3μH.

Highlights include an OTA test solution with frontend modules specifically for the 5G FR2 range and a solution for speed-optimized tests of 5G base stations. Both are ideal for use in production. The introduction of the new, mmWave based FR2 frequency range for 5G and the increased use of active antennas without physical connectors requires testing to be performed over the air (OTA). Rohde & Schwarz has developed a test solution able to perform the first tests for RF conformance in 3GPP FR2.

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced a new 40-A SWIFTTM DC/DC buck converter, offering first-of-its-kind stackability of up to four integrated circuits (ICs). The TPS546D24A PMBus buck converter can deliver up to 160 A of output current at an 85°C ambient temperature – four times more current than competing power ICs. The TPS546D24A has the highest efficiency of any 40-A DC/DC converter, allowing engineers to reduce power loss by 1.5 W in high-performance data center and enterprise computing, medical, wireless infrastructure, and wired networking applications.
