Rohde & Schwarz has validated six RF conformance test cases for LTE-capable high-power user equipment (HPUE), allowing the certification of such devices to start. The R&S TS8980 test system is the first and so far only test system that covers these tests for LTE band 14 public safety networks. With this accomplishment, Rohde & Schwarz is paving the way for LTE’s expansion into critical communication applications.

Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced that the Global Certification Forum (GCF) has ratified in their latest CAG#46 meeting, the validation of Keysight release 9 dual band and dual carrier HSDPA test cases in the bands I-VIII. Through this recognition, Keysight becomes the only vendor to offer validated test cases on this evolution of 3G technology, for which some mobile network operators have already announced deployments in 2016.

Texas Instruments introduced two 65-V, 150-mA synchronous DC/DC buck converters with the industry's lowest 10.5-uA quiescent current (IQ) for powering factory automation and automotive sensor applications requiring high efficiency. The industrial-grade LM5165 and automotive-grade LM5165-Q1 micro-power step-down regulators feature a wide input voltage (VIN) range and dual control modes for optimizing efficiency and printed circuit board (PCB) area. By using the regulators together with TI's WEBENCH® Power Design tool, engineers can get their factory and process automation designs to market faster.

(NYSE: KEYS) announced the availability of a new Method of Implementation (MOI) document for cable assembly compliance tests defined in Rev. 1.1 of the USB Type-C specification and Rev. 1.0 of the USB Type-C Compliance Test Specification (CTS). The USB Type-C MOI, together with a test package such as Keysight's state file, works with the M937xA PXIe multiport vector network analyzer to provide the compliance test solution for USB Type-C cable assemblies.
