Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) introduced industry's first pre-compliance test solution to reduce test margins, ensure devices meet regulatory limits. The N/W6141A Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) measurement application for X-Series signal analyzers is ideal for R&D engineers in the aerospace/defense, automotive and communications industries, the EMC measurement application enables easier, more accurate pre-compliance emissions testing of prototype electrical components, sub-assemblies and systems.

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) announced that the Infiniium 90000 X-Series oscilloscope has been selected as the winner of the prestigious Electron d'Or (gold electron) award in the "Instrumentation" category. The 90000 X-Series was selected unanimously by a jury of experts from industry, the press and academic research.

The first two members of RIGOL RF instruments, DSA1000A Series & DSA1000 Series Spectrum Analyzer, provide more accurate, efficient, easy-to use and cost effective RF test solution; and provide more setup flexibility to simplify the task of obtaining the needed information.

National Instruments announced the addition of Windows OS support and Camera Link connectivity for NI Embedded Vision Systems. Two of the new options featuring Windows support, the NI EVS-1463 and EVS-1464 systems, offer 80 GB storage and are suitable for image and data logging. They are based on the Windows 7 OS, making it possible to develop directly on the deployment system while eliminating the need for a separate PC for the operator interface.

The partnership will enhance the rapid development of LTE wireless test platforms and strengthen Agilent's leadership position in LTE test and measurement.

The compact R&S®DST200 RF diagnostic chamber simulates conditions that approximate free space and features a 700 MHz to 6 GHz broadband test antenna especially designed for the chamber. Users can measure self-interference (desense) or radiated emissions, perform coexistence tests and verify the antenna radiation pattern during development.

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) announced the availability of key enhancements to its Signal Studio for 3GPP LTE and 89600 Vector Signal Analysis (VSA) software. The Signal Studio software runs on Agilent's signal generators and emulators. The VSA software runs on Agilent's analysis platforms.

Texas Instruments announced the purchase of two wafer fabs and manufacturing equipment located in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Japan. The purchase includes a 200-mm wafer fab currently in operation that is capable of expanding TI's analog revenue by more than $1 billion annually, as well as a second non-operating wafer fab for either 200-mm or 300-mm production.
