The compact, economical R&S® FSC spectrum analyzer recently introduced by Rohde & Schwarz delivers all of the key characteristics of a professional spectrum analyzer. With a frequency range starting at 9 kHz and extending to a maximum of 6 GHz, the analyzer is ideal for applications that require a high-quality basic instrument: Simple development tasks, research and instruction, service and production. Rohde & Schwarz offers a complete range of broadcast test transmitters. With the new R&S®SFE-K30 fading simulator option, the R&S®SFE broadcast tester can now simulate realistic channel conditions.

The R&S SMU200A high-end vector signal generator from Rohde & Schwarz now has an option that supports realtime processing of feedback information in LTE base station receiver tests. These tests previously required special test user equipment and fading simulators. Rohde & Schwarz now offers a unique one-box solution to replace complex test setups – the R&S SMU200A combines RF signal generation and fading simulation with realtime feedback processing capability all in a single instrument.

The R&S®FSV-K8 Bluetooth measurement application performs RF measurements according to the BT test specification (version 2.1) for the basic rate as well as for enhanced data rate (EDR).

The high-end R&S® ZVA67 vector network analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz is now also available as a four-port model. This is the first network analyzer on the market to feature four test ports for measurements up to 67 GHz.

Rohde & Schwarz is upgrading its portfolio of T&M equipment to provide test capabilities for the data service enhancements included in TETRA Release 2. The latest release of the TETRA standard is intended to increase the capacity of professional mobile radio networks. The company can now offer manufacturers of base stations and handsets new solutions for TETRA Release 2-compliant tests on transmitters and receivers. Rohde & Schwarz is the first T&M equipment supplier to successfully validate LTE test cases with the Global Certification Forum (GCF). A first set of test cases of the 3GPP 36.523 specification were presented and approved for validation on the R&S®CMW500 wideband radio communication tester.

New communications services such as WLAN 802.11a and WiMAX™, with frequencies between 3 GHz and 6 GHz, require a frequency range extension of the measuring equipment for surveys, risk communication and studies. The R&S®TSEMF-B2 isotropic antenna can cover this extension. The antenna, featuring a frequency range from 700 MHz to 6 GHz, is also suitable for measuring EMF standards such as EN50499 and can measure all relevant wireless services in a single operation.
