Tektronix, Inc., an industry-leading innovator of video test and monitoring solutions, announced that NEP Australia, leading provider of outsourced broadcast production solutions, has selected Tektronix as a key technology provider for the broadcaster's move to an IP-enabled production infrastructure based on the SMPTE ST-2110 standard for video over IP. NEP has purchased a range of Tektronix equipment for its IP build out including both standalone and rackmount PRISM hybrid IP/SDI media analysis instruments as well as SPG8000A hybrid sync generator and PTP grandmaster clock units, ECO8000 automatic changeover devices and WFM5200 waveform monitors.

The R&S SMW200A GNSS simulator adds a high-end solution to the Rohde & Schwarz portfolio of satellite navigation system simulators. It can be extended to up to four RF outputs and allows GNSS signals to be simulated simultaneously in multiple frequency bands for multiple antennas. It is the only instrument on the market that can internally simulate a complex interference environment in parallel with GNSS signals. With the R&S SMW200A, Rohde & Schwarz heralds a new era in GNSS simulation.

Tektronix, a leading worldwide provider of measurement solutions, introduced the new DPO7OE1, a calibrated optical probe and analysis software for use with real-time oscilloscopes. It is optical reference receiver (ORR) compliant for 28-GBaud PAM4 applications and supports IEEE/OIF-CEI standard specific measurements. This new solution complements Tektronix' optical PAM4 analysis tools for sampling oscilloscopes, giving design teams efficient test solutions for all stages of the optical transmitter workflow.

Rohde & Schwarz tested the Genova Origin packaging solution from Keepixo for compatibility with its R&S PRISMON monitoring and multiviewer solution. R&S PRISMON successfully received and monitored in detail all common OTT protocols, including HLS and MPEG-DASH. Rohde & Schwarz focused in particular on subtitle packaging tests based on diverse formats.

The R&S FSW85 signal and spectrum analyzer now provides 5 GHz analysis bandwidth, which is required for analyzing wideband signals such as automotive radar FMCW chirp signals, IEEE 802.11ay signals and 5G waveform candidates.
