To be able to keep pace with the worlds
continued need for faster and faster speeds,
new ways of thinking must be considered to
achieve the speeds and technologies to
measure them. Traditional instrumentations
have limitations and tradeoffs that
must be understood. New measurement
methodologies are emerging to ensure validation
of the high frequencies can be
achieved. The real-time oscilloscope suddenly
has become a viable instrument to
enable new high frequency technologies
thanks to high bandwidth, low noise, and
higher resolution ADCs.
